Terms of Service
These terms govern your organization's use of Private Hive, a Vantum company ("we," "us"). By subscribing to or using the service, you agree to them.
1. The service
Private Hive builds, hosts, and manages a private AI workspace for your organization: a dedicated server running the open-source Buzz workspace, always-on AI agents, and the operations around them (security, backups, monitoring, upgrades). Optional buildout projects (custom agents, workspace configuration, migrations) are scoped and priced separately in writing.
2. Subscriptions and billing
- Pricing is per seat (an admitted human member), with tier minimums as published on our pricing page or in your order. AI agents do not count as seats.
- Subscriptions bill monthly or annually in advance. Seat counts are trued up at each billing cycle.
- Buildout projects are one-time, flat-rate fees, due as stated in their written scope.
- We may change published pricing for future terms with at least 30 days' notice; changes never apply retroactively to a paid period.
3. Your data, your AI
- Your organization owns all content in its workspace. We claim no rights to it beyond what's needed to host and operate your instance.
- AI agents run against your organization's own AI provider accounts (such as Claude or ChatGPT). Your relationship with that provider — including its costs, limits, and terms — is yours, and you're responsible for using it in accordance with the provider's terms.
- See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled. Short version: dedicated server, no pooling, no selling, no training on your data.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the service to break the law, infringe others' rights, distribute malware, send spam, or attempt to access other customers' systems. Workspaces used for illegal activity may be suspended; where lawful, we'll notify you first and work with you before taking action.
5. Availability and support
We operate your instance with commercial best efforts: monitoring, nightly backups, and deliberate, tested upgrades. Planned maintenance is scheduled and communicated. The service is provided without a formal uptime SLA unless one is agreed in writing for your organization.
6. Term and termination
- You may cancel any time; service continues to the end of the paid period.
- On termination, you may request a full export of your workspace data. Your instance and its data are destroyed within 30 days after the subscription ends.
- We may terminate for material breach of these terms (including non-payment) with notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure.
7. Open source
The workspace software is built on Buzz, an open-source project (Apache 2.0) by Block, Inc. Block is not a party to these terms and provides no warranties for the service.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is." AI agents produce output that can be wrong; your organization is responsible for reviewing agent work before relying on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages.
9. General
These terms are governed by applicable United States law. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. We may update these terms; material changes will be notified to customer organizations at least 30 days before taking effect.
